~~OHIO University is seeking a qualified applicant for the Accountant position in the Grant Accounting Department.

This position provides assistance in the management of all post-award activities and facilitating the University’s involvement in all sponsored programs; responsible for new award set up; Project Accounting system and account maintenance; financial reporting and invoicing including cost share reporting; internal and external audit reconciliations; and keeping abreast of all federal and state regulations.
•Account management – responsible for new award set up and account maintenance for restricted and University endowed accounts in project accounting module
•Reporting – prepares financial reporting and invoicing for submission to sponsors as well as account reconciliations and supporting documents for internal and external financial audits
•System maintenance – responsible for project accounting module system maintenance including monthly close process and assist in functional lead duties
This position works with oversight of Manager, Grants and Contract Accounting in the setup, maintenance and reporting of restricted accounts that support the integrity of the financial information. Broad authority in reviewing day to day processes and making improvement recommendations. Serves as main point of contact for the customer as it relates to accurate and timely account set up and project accounting system maintenance.
