Mission Statement: To provide tactical leadership to the field sales organization to meet established revenue, profit and customer relation objectives.
Accountabilities: Establishes sales programs, territory budgets, sales goals, personnel selection, salary administration and input for pricing policies. Effectively oversees $30M to $50M in U.S sales in leading a sales team of district managers, sales reps and 225+ distributors.
Set and achieve annual sales objectives as they relate to profit maximization.
Provide for the selection, training, and development of the district managers.
Focus the district managers on the key sales objectives of the business.
Plan and implement annual performance reviews and compensation/incentive plans for the District Managers to promote OPW’s strategic objectives.
Maintain sound working relationships with district managers, customer service, key end-users and distributors.
Conceive and implement sales promotion and new product introduction programs to meet company objectives.
Plan and hold training meetings for district managers and distributors.
Assure the most effective distribution system is established and maintained in each district.
Manage and resolve product, application, and other field problems.
Work closely with members of the Product Management and Engineering teams to recommend action on new product requests.
Identify major specification opportunities with the DMs; insure that OPW products become the product of choice among regulatory bodies and contractors; development and implement plans to be the first and best products in the marketplace.
Monitor pricing in areas to assure it is in accordance with policy and is documented.
Lead and participate in relevant SGD initiatives.
Participate in industry organizations and events as appropriate.

Bachelors degree in business, engineering or marketing; MBA is preferre
5 - 7 years of progressive sales and marketing experience, preferably of which 3 are in a leadership role.
3 years of field sales experience in developing territories and accounts.
Two years experience in product development such as marketing, design or regulatory compliance.

Solid familiarity with industry competitors, regulatory agencies and major customers.
Well-developed skills in financial budgeting and forecasting.
