Position Summary
• Support the Design and Implementation as well as the ongoing maintenance of the company's new European operating model
• Reports to Director, Global Tax Strategy
• Will manage the Associate Manager, International Tax Strategy, and as with all Tax Managers, the role is identified as an available People Manager of the pooled Tax Staff

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Support the Design and Implementation as well as the ongoing maintenance of the Company's new European operating model including:
- Manage various legal entity restructuring
- Review and maintenance of the US substantial contribution documentation
- Support audit defense of structure post go-live
- Support the design and integration of future acquisitions from a tax perspective

• Identify and implement tax planning to maximize global tax efficiency/minimize the global tax burden of the Company

• Collaborate with the Global Transfer Pricing team to review various tax efficient supply chain planning opportunities from an International Tax perspective

• Work with the Global Tax Accounting and Reporting to:
- Review the US and non-US international aspects of the non- US ASC 740 provision in cooperation with the International Accounting for Income Tax Manager
- Identify, document, and monitor any uncertain tax positions under FIN 48 regarding transactions undertaken

• Review forms and disclosures prepared by the Global Compliance team to ensure transactions are properly reported and disclosed

• Participate in departmental tax projects as requested

• Develop and foster strong working relationships with Business Unit colleagues and cross-functional departments including amongst others:
- Work with Treasury to support intercompany cash flow transactions
- Work with Legal to execute transactions
- Work with local finance teams to ensure transactions are recorded properly
- Work with the operations to develop and maintain tax required documentation

• Future potential to operate as a Business Unit Tax Manager and work directly with Business Unit finance, operational, other staff, etc., partnering on behalf of the Tax Department to achieve business objectives while being responsible for tax implications associated with the business unit activities

Education & Special Trainings
• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field
• CPA, and/or MST preferred
• Basic understanding of income tax accounting and the quarterly/year-end provision process
• Strong research and writing skills
• Strong accounting and analytical skills

Job Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience
• Minimum 7 - 9 years of international tax or comparable experience
• Prefer a combination of public accounting and corporate experience
• Experience with CorpTax and HFM softwares a plus

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to communicate with large groups of people
• Must be able to review printed materials
• Must be able to communicate telephonically
• Ability to use common office equipment (e.g. PC, calculator, fax machine, etc.)
