The Finance Manager will be assisting in the growth of the company via support of business development, divestiture and acquisition opportunities as well as be responsible for the management and coordination of the financial investments within Advanced Operations (AO) and Continuous Improvement & Automation (CIA) across various Stryker products and divisions.

Detailed responsibilities of the Finance Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Partner with Advanced Operations (AO), Continuous Improvement & Automation (CIA) & Finance
    leadership teams to formulate and implement strategic plans to help drive the overarching strategic plan and future direction of the organization
  • Support business due diligence of acquisition and divestiture targets to realize our strategy
  • Enable the team to analyze and constructively challenge new product business plans and financial
    models to identify key value drivers
  • Develop financial analysis and influence new product sourcing decisions across various product lines and divisions within scope of the role
  • Develop & sustain relationships with Finance leaders across the organization to deliver set objectives
  • Develop innovative financial metrics for monitoring the objectives and specific achievements related to each new technology, new product and automation initiative
  • Collaborate with cost reduction teams to identify and deliver the strategic plan objectives and the component, Advanced Operations & CIA targets
  • Partner with the selling divisions on key projects as opportunities arise
  • Fulfil all required report-out responsibilities to Finance, R&D, Advanced Operations and CIA Senior Leadership
  • In consultation with the other management, make recommendations and devise financial policy and
    strategy for establishing, directing and maintaining the financial and operational procedures to ensure asset protection and profit maximization
  • Provide leadership to finance teams, set high expectations for performance and clear direction, creating a positive team environment with open communication and engaged team members
  • Drive margin improvement initiatives on new technologies and new products
  • Ensure robust new product cost estimated and disciplined communications across divisions
  • Own all capital expenditure requests within new platform technologies, new products and automation
  • Own & evolve the new product, continuous improvement & automation benefit tracker
  • Be responsible for delivering functional excellence to the business
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements across all international reporting regions
  • Influence and educate R&D, Advanced Operations & CIA teams in delivery of financial commitments

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required. An MBA and/or CPA is preferred, but not required. Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of related professional experience in a multi-national organization.

Ideal candidates should also possess the following skills/experiences:

  • A thorough understanding of accounting and financial principals, budgeting, reporting, financial analysis and forecasting
  • High level of strategic financial development and solid business acumen
  • Demonstrated the ability to both think strategically as well as build and execute action plans
  • Experience working in the medical device, pharmaceutical or other heavily regulated environment
  • Experience effectively working with various business functions and at every level in promoting the
    development of services, business plans, budget management and cost control
  • Experience with inventory, transfer pricing and/or cost accounting is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated record of driving change and improvement
  • Ability to manage teams, multiple projects, adjust priorities as needed, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships at all levels both within the organization and with third parties
  • Self-directed and ability to influence across the organization at multiple levels
  • Experience working in a heavily matrixed environment
  • A 'can-do' attitude to all business challenges
  • Target driven with proven ability to motivate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
