Job Description:

The Assistant Treasurer will be responsible for a wide variety of functions within the finance organization and projects across the organization, globally. This includes but is not limited to the corporate strategy related to the management of cash globally and partnering in the build out of a shared services model for the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. A strong preference exists for candidates who have experience in treasury roles, but we will openly consider candidates with a background in other finance functions (e.g., accounting, business unit finance, FP&A) if they possess
strong leadership reputations.

The specific responsibilities for the position include:

* Global oversight and leadership for all cash management activities, including promoting the effective utilization of cash resources through the control of working capital, investment of surplus cash and efficient use of banking facilities.

* Develop and drive tools and analysis to forecast the company’s global cash flows.

* Identify liquidity opportunities and develops strategies to enhance liquidity while reducing the costs to manage this
liquidity.

* Identify risks with respect to treasury operations and develops and executes strategies to mitigate those risks.

* Coordinate across regions and departments internally, such as tax, accounting, legal, operations, shared services, as well
as external groups including investment banks and rating agencies cash mobilization and investment.

* Support development and management of the company’s banking relationships.

* Devise, maintain and ensure compliance with company investment, disbursement and other Treasury policies and
procedures.

* Support the company’s shared services objectives through working capital improvement projects, effective treasury
operations processes and active participation in the company’s leadership and development of shared services.

* Ownership of the company's credit card programs and related RFQ's and deployment of card programs and usage policies.

* Anticipate the impact of increasing complexity and interplay of internal and external factors (e.g., macro political and
economic trends, continued industry convergence) and provide analysis and strategies to address these factors in line
with Stryker’s strategic agenda.

* Support company SEC and SOX compliance as needed.

* Support strategic finance initiatives as needed including rating agency presentations, M&A integration, and
financings.

* Assist the Vice President Treasurer in projects and analysis including board presentations.

* Have the breadth and ability to take on additional responsibilities including areas such as real estate and travel,
accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Job Requirements:


Experience

* Undergraduate degree required. MBA in finance, economics, or accounting from a leading program, preferred.

* Has the capacity to take on larger finance or operating roles over time, including for the qualified candidiate, the Treasurer role.

* Experience building treasury operations infrastructure.

* Expertise in external benchmarking and knowledge of best in class practices in the treasury operations function.

* Ability to recruit, retain and develop world class financial talent in concert with succession planning for treasury and
Stryker’s global finance organization.

* Lead by example setting high standards for ethics, corporate governance and business contribution for treasury, finance
and the corporation.

* Possess 8-10 years of progressively responsible treasury experience.

* Experience in companies with international manufacturing operations or healthcare is strongly desired.

* Experience in dynamic, complex, rapidly-evolving business is strongly preferred.

* Ability to synthesize information from disparate sources to generate strategic insights and spot opportunities and risks
to the company.

* Understands business and organizational dynamics and the interplay between internal and external forces.

* Has demonstrated ability to deliver results from strategy to execution.
