Xilinx, a dynamic publicly traded technology company is looking to add a VP, Legal -- Corporate, M&A and Compliance to the company’s world class legal department.

In this highly visible role, this attorney will, with the General Counsel, advise the Board of Directors, work closely with executive and leadership teams and will give guidance on business transactions. Responsibilities also include handling corporate governance and corporate secretarial matters, including SEC filings and reports (10-K, 10-Q, 8K, Proxy, Section 16) and supporting the company’s  subsidiaries, and insider trading programs and policies, as well as overseeing the Company's global trade and corporate compliance programs.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this individual will work closely with and manage a corporate attorney, experienced corporate paralegal and the global trade and corporate compliance leads. The individual will also lead the Company's legal efforts for M&A and investments.

This lawyer must have the proven ability to develop collaborative working relationships with internal partners and external customers. The successful candidate will also work efficiently and independently with confidence and manage his/her own workload. In addition s/he must possess excellent strategic, organizational and presentation skills, business acumen and sense of awareness and confidence to successfully negotiate deals and work with the legal team and other cross-functional teams.
  • J.D. from accredited law school Admitted to California State Bar 
  • The ideal attorney will possess 15+ years of experience with an expertise in corporate securities, governance, M&A and compliance. Strong law firm and in house experience is required.
