Responsibilities

The Manager of Business Operations for the Wireless Business Group is responsible for leading a team of employees that manage all aspects of WBG Business Operations including but not limited to:  Communications, Training, Incentives and Compensation.  In addition, they will also lead a group of employees responsible for executive support.  This team will be responsible for the coordination and general support of the office of the SVP, and Managing Director of Operations for WBG Wireless.

The Manager will be responsible for day to day assignment of roles and responsibilities and the management of projects assigned to a team of Sr. Consultants and Sr. Analysts, responsible for specific Business Operation disciplines.  The Manager will also be charged with developing and executing on the short and long term strategy of the Business Operations team to ensure that the group is providing the WBG leadership team with the level of support and tools needed to ensure long term success.

Executive Support team core functions include the management of a team responsible for the following:

  • SVP and Managing Director of Operations staff meeting management
  • Coordination of audio and video functionality
  • Executive meeting presentation creation
  • Operations Reviews, Webcasts, All Hands Calls, customer engagements
  • PowerPoint deck creation
  • Consolidation of data from business partners
  • Work with multiple departments simultaneously to generate statistics, graphs, initiatives, and other information as needed to aid in the creation of slides needed for presentations and strategy reviews
  • Maintain and track updates to open initiatives and action that result from meetings (i.e. staff meetings, operations reviews, etc.), maintaining reporting and action registrars and advising leadership of past due commitments
  • Fact check statistics, dates and other relevant data; Manage revisions through multiple versions and modifications
  • Manage additional projects as needed, including statistical analysis, and market research on a routine and ad hoc basis

Communications, Training, Incentives and Compensation team core functions include the management of a team responsible for the following:

  • Communication framework
    • Weekly release of information and updates in a clear and concise format, collaborating with Marketing on subject matter and discipline
    • Messaging to Area B2B leadership on WBG operational priorities and areas of collaboration
    • Communication updates collected and crafted through functional support groups
    • Managing executive messaging through email and Chatter
  • Training framework
    • Collaborate with the Training & Development organization
    • Evaluate Sales and Soft Skills training needs
    • Set requirements for policy, procedure, product, pricing, promotion, sales, soft skill and systems training
    • Assist with determining the training path for policy, procedure, product, pricing, promotion, sales, soft skill and systems training
    • When necessary assist with the development of curriculum to meet the needs of WBG Wireless
  • Compensation and Incentive framework
    • Collaborate with the Finance and Human Resources organizations
    • Provide support for QRB and IRB meetings
    • Partner with Business Operations counterparts to develop reporting and analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 6+ years Business Operations or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three - five years management experience.
  • Able to interpret and apply to unit's business plan to performance goals.
  • Able to develop and implement strategies that result in the successful achievement of critical business goals/objectives.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment
  • Familiar with cross-functional problem solving based on trends and issues.
  • In depth knowledge WBG and VZW product offerings, solutions, and sales metrics
  • 3+ years of sales and/or sales operations and business development experience.
  • Effective at building performance teams and excellent leadership skills
  • Effective use of PC including Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent time management skills
  •  Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
  • Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
