Job Description:

Performs and supervises the activities to direct and control inventory for the facility.
Supervises and directs those responsible for the control, receipt, movement,
and accuracy of inventory in all stages of production which includes raw, WIP,
and finished goods. Maximize the flow of material to meet production demand.


Required Skills

Maintains receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures

Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement

Responsible for maintaining and directing Quality and Safety procedures and requirements for warehouse operations

The ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, warehouse environment

Provides and maintains Oracle inventory locations

Standardize and implement part number labeling and visual controls 

Material accuracy, receiving, movement, and storage activities

Cycle counting activities and inventory accuracy improvements

Negative inventory control and error reduction

Leads and conducts annual physical inventory activities

Utilize lean inventory techniques to achieve optimal material flow. Develop standard work for material handlers

Work with materials to reduce inventory, increase turns, and shrink storage sq. ft.

Drives inventory lean improvements and supports other lean activities in the facility

Establishes Kanban, two-bin, and Point Of Use etc. inventory processes/procedures

Warehouse 5S and inventory organization. Assures the warehouse is clean, orderly and all equipment is properly maintained

Offsite warehouse management and inventory control     

Ensures training and cross training of team members

Understand and communicate business and customer needs to team

Coach team members to help them develop to their full potential

Evaluates team and team member’s performance.

Work in a team culture and lead others with limited supervision

Meet Environmental, Health and Safety requirements

Ability to adjust to changing work environments; high noise level; varying temperatures; tolerate prolonged standing to lift up to 50 lbs.


Required Experience

Thorough knowledge of ERP systems functionality, Oracle preferred

High energy level, can do attitude

Professional, courteous, and respectful, knows how to handle conflict 

Team player, gets along with all levels of the organization

Demonstrates the desired behaviors, leads by example

Positive personal and company attitude

Openly supports company programs, goals and policies

Above average planning, trouble shooting and analytical skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities at one time

High degree of fluency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access

Bachelor's degree in materials management or related area, three year’s experience in materials management area.
